Position Duties and Responsibilities:  Ensure excellent customer service with prompt response to call bells and phone calls to KBR.  Prompt communication to team members of patient needs and phone calls, understanding that in the Sec/Tech position the primary focus is attendance to patient needs and facilitation of optimal team function.  Maintenance of a safe, clean and comfortable work environment for patients, visitors and co-workers.  Maintenance of accurate records and charts including the ability to access MYSIS and acquire needed data, performing chart audits and breakdown of charts as needed for medical record filing, maintenance of copies of sheets/forms for patient care documentation, compilation of admission packets and time of death packets and printing of care plans for weekly team meeting.  Compliance with all HIPPA regulations.  Enter supplies into MYSIS for billing department to obtain total cost per patient for Medicare cost report.  Prepare daily census report.  Assurance of all rooms being prepped and ready for admission, as defined by room inspection sheet.  The room inspection sheet must be completed on all rooms waiting new admits.  Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or CEO.
