Meals at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home

We are accepting meals again! Please click here for more information on how you can help. Please continue to check back for updates. Contact Kerri Fansler-Harville at kharville@trellissupport.org or 336-331-1470 for more information.

Hospice Baking

One of many ways bakers enjoy helping us is through special occassion baking.

Volunteers who elect to bake birthday or anniversary cakes have the honor of brightening a special day for patients and families.  Often, the family does not have the time or resources to provide a cake for the patient, so this service helps alleviate pressure for the family as well.

Sewing Circles

Patients use a variety of items sewn and knitted by volunteers in the community. These homemade items offer comfort to patients and assistance to nursing staff. Individuals and/or groups are welcome to sew or knit a variety of items.

Items Needed:

  • Bibs
  • Neck pillows (horseshoe shape & dog bone shape)
  • Oblong pillows
  • Catheter bag covers
  • Blankets (full-size & half-size)
  • Hats
  • Fidget Aprons

Contact Kerri Fansler-Harville at kharville@trellissupport.org or 336-331-1470 for more information.

Garden Volunteers

The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home is a big part of our Forsyth County campus, located on Hospice Lane, and sits on beautifully lanscaped property to provide a serene space for patients and visitors. These grounds are watered and maintained by a gardener, along with the help of seasonal volunteers. This volunteer opportunity is open to both individuals and groups. Contact Volunteer@TrellisSupport.org for more information.

Group Collections

From peanut butter to soup to cereal,

Trellis Supportive Care, North Carolina's original hospice and palliative care provider, collects a variety of items to support patients and their families during one of the most difficult times of life. At the Hospice Home, these donations are used to stock the four family rooms so that family members can easily grab something when they’re on the go. Donated goods are also used to stock the snack baskets and goodie bags.

For patients that remain in their homes or at nursing facilities, donated items are also greatly appreciated. Click here for Trellis Supportive Care's detailed donation wishlist. Items can be dropped off at the front desk of the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home or ordered from our Amazon Wishlist.
