Hospice Care

"WE WISH WE'D CALLED SOONER"
Many families of Hospice patients frequently voice that very same sentiment. When they experience the dramatic difference Hospice makes in patients' lives and in the lives of their own family, they often express disappointment that they didn't ask for help earlier.

COMPREHENSIVE CARE AT HOME
Hospice care is most often provided in a patient's home or primary place of residence. Under the direction of the patient's physician, a comprehensive Hospice team provides care for the patient and family. Hospice nurses are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The entire Hospice team works to minimize the patient's physical discomfort, helps the family and patient understand the illness and strives to replace anxiety with an acceptance of life's natural progression.

DIGNITY, COMFORT AND PEACE
Everyone wants to live life to its fullest. So when illness is a reality, it's natural to explore and exhaust every possible medical alternative. But when cure is no longer an option, you owe it to yourself and to the ones you love to bring dignity, comfort and peace to the months, weeks and days ahead. At Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, we want you to know that you have a choice in how you face those difficult times.

FOR ANYONE FACING A SERIOUS ILLNESS
Although many Hospice patients have cancer as their primary diagnosis, Hospice also provides care to patients with Alzheimer's, congestive heart failure, emphysema and Lou Gehrig's Disease to name a few. Anyone, including children, who has been diagnosed with a serious illness and is no longer receiving aggressive, or life-prolonging therapy can benefit from Hospice care.
