Valentine's Card Contest
I Heart Hospice - Hospice & Palliative CareCenter announces the “I Heart Hospice” Campaign that kicks off January 8, 2010. Children ages 2 to 12 may enter handmade Valentine cards to be judged by local personalities.
Click here for flyer and application. The child who designs the winning card in each age category, along with their teacher, will win a prize and have their picture in
The Stokes News. These Valentine cards will be given to hospice patients living at home or in nursing homes. Because the cards will be given to Hospice & Palliative CareCenter patients, multiple entries are encouraged. The teacher whose class has the greatest number of entries also wins a prize. To make an “I Heart Hospice” Valentine Card, fold an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper in half, design your Valentine greeting, write the child’s 1st name and grade (only) on the inside of the card, and attach an entry form to the card with a paperclip. Flyers and entry forms are available at your local elementary school, The Stokes Partnership for Children office, Stokes County 4-H Extension office, on the Hospice website at
www.hospicecarecenter.org or at Hospice & Palliative CareCenter in Walnut Cove. Entries are due to the designated locations above by February 5 at 2pm, or to the Hospice & Palliative CareCenter office in Walnut Cove by February 8 at 12 noon. Call the Hospice & Palliative CareCenter office at 591-1124 with any questions. All cards become the property of Hospice & Palliative CareCenter and may be used and/or reproduced in the future.
