Commemorating 30 Years of Compassionate Care It all began over 30 years ago when a few local folks gathered on a back porch, knowing there was a better way, and started to figure out how to make it happen. That’s when the idea of hospice was first considered in North Carolina. Those dedicated individuals wanted to improve the way people die. They knew that most people, given a choice, would prefer to die at home - surrounded by family, with dignity, peace, and as comfortable as possible. They were successful.
Thanks to our Supporters
Since 1979, we have felt the strong presence of support from the community. We appreciate the many partnerships, sponsors, loyal friends, advocates, patients and families we’ve had the pleasure to know during the last 30 years. It’s an honor to pause, and simply say thank you for the support. And it will be our privilege to serve for decades to come.
