Why Your Support Is Needed
Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans cover Hospice care, however, this reimbursement does not fully cover the cost of care provided. In addition, Hospice & Palliative CareCenter provides many services that help families in need, for which there is no form of reimbursement. These services can only happen with generosity from the community.
How Your Gift Will Help
In addition to supporting Hospice care, your gift supports needed programs available to the community. Most of these programs are offered free of charge and supported through contributions. Your contributions will support these programs, including:
- Grief Counseling to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one
- Advanced Care Planning so that end of life care choices will be known and respected
- Emotional support and guidance for clients of our Community Support Program
- Pediatric Palliative Care for children not expected to reach adulthood
- The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for patients who cannot be cared for in their home or place of residence
- Education for healthcare professionals who provide care to seriously ill individuals in need of expert pain and symptom control and assistance with end of life care choices
- Complementary Therapies designed to help patients and families experience the best quality of life care possible.
