Hospice & Palliative CareCenter to Unveil Meditation Garden & Labyrinth on May 5

Hospice & Palliative CareCenter will sponsor the community opening of the Glenn & Wilma Pettyjohn Meditation Garden & Labyrinth on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in coordination with World Labyrinth Day. People around the world will “Walk as One at 1,” with labyrinth walks scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

HPCC & The Enrichment Center Build A Veterans Garden

Hospice & Palliative CareCenter and The Enrichment Center are working together to create a special Veterans Garden on the Hospice & Palliative CareCenter campus. The proposed design has been carefully conceived to respect the natural beauty found on our picturesque campus off of Burke Mill Road. The focal point of the garden is a flag pole elevated above a raised circular flower bed, the interior of which will contain custom handmade benches, designed and created by the talented artists from The Enrichment Center. The garden design is wheelchair accessible and welcomes visitors in for reflection and respite.

Introducing Our New CEO, Brian Payne

Following an extensive executive search, the Board of Directors of Hospice & Palliative CareCenter is pleased to announce the selection of Brian K. Payne as President and CEO. Payne, who joined the staff in June, will replace JoAnn E. Davis, who has served this organization for 26 years. Payne brings 19 years of hospice and healthcare experience to the position. Most recently, Payne was the Executive Director/President and CEO of Catholic Hospice located in Miami, Florida.

NAIFA of Greater Wiston-Salem Charity Golf Tournament

Thursday, May 17, 2012 - 11:30am

Join friends of NAIFA at thier Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Hospice & Palliative CareCenter. The tournament is scheduled for Thursday, May 17 at Pine Brook Country Club. The tournament is a Captain's Choice - 4 person team - with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. The registration fee is $70 per person or $280 for a team and includes green fee, cart, lunch, range balls, and a mulligan package.

Dan River Poker Paddle Run

Saturday, June 2, 2012 (All day)

8th Annual Dan River Poker Paddle Run - 6.2 mile canoe/kayak trip on the scenic Dan River through Hanging Rock State Park. Proceeds benefit Hospice & Palliative Care Patients in Stokes County. Click here to see flyer.
