Volunteers

At Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, we believe that volunteers are the heart of Hospice, generously offering their time, talents and endless energy. The reasons people volunteer are endless. Some people volunteer because they want to give back to their community; others volunteer because they believe in the vision and mission of Hospice. And, then there are some who volunteer for Hospice because they have been personally impacted by the warmth of Hospice care at a difficult time in their loved one’s life. Regardless of their reason, most volunteers will modestly say that they receive much more than they give.

Hospice & Palliative CareCenter volunteers come from all walks of life and represent the cultural diversity of our community. Volunteers are students, homemakers, professionals, seniors and retirees who care enough to share their spare time either during the day, in the evening, or on weekends.

Whether it's offering assistance in the office, making a weekly visit to a patient's home, or helping with an annual fund-raising activity, volunteers are greatly appreciated and essential to the Hospice team.
